Professor Gary Wittert

Mortlock Professor of Medicine, University of Adelaide Director, Freemasons Centre for Male Health and Wellbeing Senior Consultant Endocrinologist, Royal Adelaide Hospital

Professor Gary Wittert is one of Australia’s foremost clinical researchers in endocrinology and male health. He holds the Mortlock Chair of Medicine at the University of Adelaide — one of the oldest and most distinguished medical chairs in Australia — and directs the Freemasons Centre for Male Health and Wellbeing, which conducts research into the physical, psychological, and social determinants of men’s health across the lifespan.

As a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Professor Wittert brings extensive clinical experience to this resource. His research spans metabolic syndrome, obesity, testosterone and male ageing, sleep disorders, and the intersection of lifestyle factors with chronic disease.
